Checking the Model
It is important to check reservoir models before they are run. But this is often difficult to do. TransGen reports the locations of inside-out, concave or negative volume cells when a model is run in the viewer.
All the geometrically corrupt cells in a model can be visualized in TransGen.
Inactive and geometrically corrupt cells can be visualised, together with a selection of COORD lines, to investigate the causes of geometrical deficiencies. Here crossing COORD lines cause groups of cells to turn inside out. This example, from the North Sea, clearly has incorrect cell-cell connections at fault.
