TransGen can be started by simply typing:-

<TG_HOME> is the path to the TransGen installation.
This will open the
TransGen Control menu, which is the launcher for all the TransGen modules.
The
examples subdirectory contains two TransGen projects, TRIANGLE and SAIGUP allowing you to explore the TransGen software package using:-
TRIANGLE dataset with the 'Triangle.TGDATA' file and WizGen in "Basic project" mode to create a TransGen runfile.
SAIGUP dataset with the '032_B14.TGDATA' file and WizGen in "Flexible project" mode for more options and modules when creating a runfile.
HINT:- Access the on-line Workflow Advisor for guidance on using TransGen by clicking on the Workflow Advisor icon in the Control Menu.
NOTE for existing users
We recommend existing users rename the
<TG_HOME>/aux/tg_cmaps directory and allow the system to recreate this directory. They can copy their favourite colourmaps from the renamed directory back into
<TG_HOME>/aux/tg_cmaps. This is to allow for significant additions and bug fixes made to the directory since the last TransGen release.
